Dr. Paul Mills is a board-certified plastic surgeon in St. Peters, MO who is experienced with a full range of aesthetic and reconstructive procedures, including facelifts, tummy tucks, breast augmentation and lifts, as well as a variety of body contouring procedures, such as thigh lifts and body lifts. His goal is to create beautiful, natural results while helping each patient achieve his or her desired objectives. Dr. Mills received his undergraduate degrees and medical doctorate from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He completed his general surgery and plastic surgery training at Ohio State University. During this fellowship, he gained extensive experience in all aspects of cosmetic surgery.

Dr. Mills is also politically active and has been the Secretary, Vice President and President of the Missouri Association of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

What Dr. Mills also stresses, as much as results, is how important it is to him to provide the best possible care and support for each patient. “They are entrusting their body to me; how they appear to the outside world. I take that trust very seriously,” he says. “I am best at making patients feel comfortable and yet excited about this adventure. Everything is done for the patient’s health and safety. I use a balanced approach. I’m not the first to jump on the bandwagon and try a new device or technique that hasn’t proven itself.”

Dr. Mills places a great deal of importance on the consultation. Sometimes a consultation can last an hour or an hour and a half. He discusses the procedure in general, talks about outcomes, restrictions, time off work, medication, and possible complications – this is his time to educate and inform the patient so their decision is based on solid information. Next, Dr. Mills does an examination so that he can make a proper recommendation – to proceed or not, and, if so, what the surgery will specifically entail.

Dr. Mills is married to a physician, and they have three beautiful children–two girls and a boy. As a family, they are involved in all sorts of activities, including horseback riding, baseball, soccer, snow skiing, and scuba diving.
